Optofluidics is a multidisciplinary research area combining photonics and fluidic matters. Optical fibers and fabrics have inextricably linked with fluidic materials from their birth to practical applications. This special topic session will explore the advantages of combining different materials and/or functions into optical fibers and fabrics, and the applications on optical fiber communication and sensor systems.
